Cacao is a high vibrational plant medicine, the cacao you hold in your hands is from the Criollo variety, it was grown in the region of Soconusco in Chiapas, Mexico. The people who cultivate it have been caretakers of these seeds for generations. It is a labor of love to help to preserve this now endangered variety so future generations can inherit it.
Cacao benefits our bodies in many ways, it is a tonic for the heart and helps to strengthen the circulatory system. At a deeper level, it helps us open our hearts so we can live with more presence in a more loving, more conscious and expansive manner.
Cacao can be used to increase connection, focus and productivity or during your spiritual or shamanic practice. This seed is a gift to the heart.
How to prepare:
Heat up a cup of water and/or almond milk and not allow it to boil.
To add more flavor, add cinnamon, cardamom, cayenne pepper or other spices.
Add 2-3 Tablespoons of Cacao if you want a light chocolate, 4-5 if you want a stronger taste. Start slow!
Mix well until the cacao has completely dissolved
Sweeten to taste with honey or brown sugar.
