Navigating Life Changes

Lately, it feels as life is going at an ever increasing pace, sometimes even more so when you are faced unexpected changes.

Over the past few weeks, I have seen a greater influx of people coming for healing sessions. I even had a remote client who lives in Tanzania, Africa!

Some are facing life changes such as a separation, changing countries or recovering after life-altering illness. It feels as if we are all longing for deep healing and getting back to ourselves.

This is one of my favorite quotes, it really helps to put things in perspective and to navigate a transformative period:

“Life is amazing. And then it’s awful. And then it’s amazing again. And in between the amazing and awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful.”

― L.R. Knost

Recently, I had the opportunity of performing a soul retrieval for one of my regular clients. It is one of the shamanic techniques that I find the most transformational, with the deepest and lasting effects.

“Trauma – physical and emotional – is an inevitable part of life. When we experience traumatic events, it is possible for a portion of the soul to separate, taking with it a part of our essential self. This soul loss can manifest in a number of ways, including illness, emotional arrest, fear, and insecurity. Fortunately, it is possible to enter non-linear time – the timeless now – to recover the lost soul part, heal events that happened in the past, and even correct the course of destiny”.

― Alberto Villoldo

*It is recommended before having a soul retrieval to do have several healing sessions before, to lay a foundation of sorts.

I have been in contemplative mood nurturing my body and soul. Today I did a space clearing and Spring cleaning in my home which was much needed after everything that has happened in the past few months.

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS TO HELP YOU BRING BALANCE DURING TIMES OF CHANGE:

Do a space clearing:

Smudge, use palo santo, white sage or any other herb that resonates with you. Sacred smoke is one of the easiest and fastest ways to uplift your space.

Use sound, bells, drumming, a flute or even playing music will do.

Set your intention to invite abundance, healing and to bring the highest possible energy into your home.

Practice self-care:

Have a nightly routine, turn off your phone at a certain time, read, diffuse essential oils, pick an oracle card etc.

Protect your boundaries, say no, rest and allow yourself to be with people that you feel safe and comfortable with

Try a guided meditation

Listen to calming music
